2001 était sa première année en course. Il a terminé 6ième au classement des points APBA dans la classe 1.5 litre stock. Il a remporté sa première victoire à Célina en Ohio le 26 août 2001. Cette même année il fut nommé "recrue de l'année" Marine Prop Rider's.

2002 Valleyfield Regatta was not only Bobby's first time racing in Valleyfield but it was also his first time ever in a 2.5 Stock. He had the 5th fastest qualifying time and finished fifth in the final.

          2nd in the Inboard hydro super series
          3rd in APBA National high points
2001 was Bobby first year racing. He drove a 1.5 Litre Stock to a 6th place National High Point finish. He got his first win in Celina, Ohio on August 26th. In 2001 he was name the Marine Prop Rider's "Rookie Of The Year".
